Listening to podcasts is a free and amazing way to invest in yourself, to get inspired, entertained, and motivated. Podcasts are my new favorite thing and lately I’ve been binge listening to several inspiring podcasts during my commute in the morning. They make my ride interesting and enjoyable, and they set the mood for a positive and productive day. By the time I get to work I already feel energized, inspired, and ready for another successful day.
I also love listening to podcasts while I’m cooking, going for a walk, working out, or doing anything that doesn’t require my full attention.
In podcasts, as in any audio recording, the voice and the tone of the speaker can make or break the deal, that’s why I’ve found myself gravitating toward certain podcasts. The ones I like are those that say something not only through the speaker’s words, but also through their tone, rhythm, and intonation.
I’m sharing with you today 6 positive and inspiring podcasts that will brighten your day and help you feel refreshed and energized. Just give them a try!
This one is, by far, the closest to my heart. Robin Sharma is humble, down-to-earth and so right. His conversations are the perfect mixture of grace, wisdom, gratitude, and encouragement, and his ideas resonate so well with my views on life and with my values.
In his podcast, he offers his advice on leadership, mastery, self improvement, work-life balance, business, time management and goal setting.
He inspires me everyday to be more optimistic and more positive, and he has the power to uplift me to my best.
You’ve probably heard about it before, but this is one of my favorites. The Lively Show it’s what it says it is: a lively, lovely combination of personal development, wellness, life, relationships, and career advice. Jess opens up about her journey, her struggles, and the lessons she learned from her guests.
What I like most about her is that she always has the power to lift me up with her cheerful and optimistic voice.
Her guests are all inspiring people: Alex Ikonn, Elizabeth Gilbert, Brene Brown, etc.
After reading Big Magic I decided I wanted more of that goodness, and I started listening to Elizabeth Gilbert’s podcast. It explores creativity and real life stories, and it is set up differently. In each episode, she invites an expert to answer to one of her listener’s questions about life, career, or relationships. Her podcast encourages you to unlock your creative potential and to live a creative life beyond fear and doubt.
Katie is a lifestyle coach, writer, and speaker, and her podcast is about wellness and about becoming the best version of yourself. In her new book Let It Out: A Journey Through Journaling she is talking about the power of journaling, and she offers the necessary tools and exercises to develop a journaling habit.
Some of her podcast topics are: mindfulness, love, creativity, holistic living, and personal growth. Her episodes are full of inspiration, laughter and good vibes.
Rachael is a passionate mindfulness coach, speaker, and host of the podcast The Mindful Kind. She focuses on stress-management, self-love, and overall well being, and she shares effective ways to incorporate mindfulness into your everyday life. Her podcast is a gracious invitation to slow down and focus on the present moment.
Rachael has a soft, soothing voice. If you are tired, tense, or anxious just listening to her voice will work miracles for you. She IS all mindfulness and kindness.
Dan Harris is the ABC news correspondent and co-anchor for the weekend edition of Good Morning America. He wrote the book 10% Happier and created the app 10% Happier – Meditation For Fidgety Skeptics. What I like about his podcasts is the relatable, ironic, and humorous way he talks to his guests, a different image from what I see on Good Morning America every weekend. Some of his guests are: Dalai Lama, Arianna Huffington, Gretchen Rubin, and The Minimalists.
