If you are new to my blog, Monthly Celebration is my way of highlighting the best moments of my month, and a great opportunity to acknowledge and be grateful for everything that brought me joy. It is my moment of gratitude when I allow myself to pause, look back, and recognize the things that inspire and motivate me.
Now let’s get into my monthly highlights:
1. Ludovico Enaudi
Lately I’ve been listening to Ludovico Einaudi – an Italian pianist and composer. His music is lyrical and moving – it makes the perfect background for reading or writing. Just give it a try and let me know what you think.
2. Mastering Your Mean Girl by Melissa Ambrosini
A self-help book about personal change and growth, filled with advice on how to live a happier and more positive life. The mean girl in the title is the voice inside yourself that fills your mind with doubt and tells you that you are not pretty enough, smart enough, and capable enough. Melissa Ambrosini has the antidote for it. It is called LOVE. The book is filled with positive motivation and self-care advice. It also includes self-improvement suggestions like gratitude, awareness and meditation. If you are looking to boost your confidence or some motivation to love yourself more, this is the book for you.
3. Life Habits to Improve Your Writing by Joshua Becker
A great article about being intentional and finding the best habits for the everyday process of writing and creating. I strongly believe that it is only when we learn to create a routine and a discipline of writing that we become creative and successful in writing. In time, I’ve learned to love having a routine, and for me, cultivating habits like the ones in this article always sparks creativity and ingenuity, and make the process of writing easier.
4. Rituals app
A beautiful application, a tool that invites you to take time for yourself, to relax and enjoy the present moment. It has meditation sessions to relax your mind and body, and you can also choose from different yoga exercises: yoga for happiness, detox yoga, yoga for restful sleep, or yoga relaxation.
5. On the blog in August:
How I Made Meditation Work For Me
The Simplest Ways to Make Your Home Your Heaven
Rise and Shine – Healthy Morning Habits For A Positive Day
How to Train Your Brain to Become More Positive
August was a quiet, but great month for me. I accomplished my goals, I got to spend time with my family, I got a new car, I helped my son move to a new apartment, I learned new things, and I continued to grow my blog. I enjoyed fresh bananas from my backyard, quiet evenings, and spectacular days at the beach. I am grateful and I feel beyond blessed for all the goodness in my life.
What are some of the highlights of the month of August? What made you smile? What made you happy?
Wishing you all a very happy month of September filled with smiles and all the laughter you can take in!
Life is better than great and it’s yours, all for you!

Great post! I am always looking for new books to read and will have to check out Melissa’s book “MASTERING YOUR MEAN GIRL”. I haven’t heard the app and will look into that as well. I posted a post today highlights from August and what’s coming up in September. 🙂 Here’s the link: http://www.ecurosie.com/best-articles-august-plans-september/
Thank you so much, Rosie! I’m so glad I found your blog and I can’t wait to read more of your posts. I already added your blog to my Feedly. 🙂
I really enjoyed that music! It’s great to blog by. I turn off the news at 8:00 and sometimes it just gets a bit too quiet.
I also stopped watching the news some time ago – too depressing. I prefer listening to whatever lifts my spirit. Have a wonderful weekend and whatever you do, make sure it makes you happy, Julie! 🙂
Hi Ana – I have listened to LUDOVICO ENAUDI many times since this Greenpeace video appeared – amazing beautiful work!
His music is relaxing and so touching! Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely weekend! 🙂
These are all inspiring ideas and very doable for the average person , like me. I really love to listen to music when I’m working. And we all need to try and be a bit more positive, negativity will only bring us down and cause our health to suffer.
I totally agree with you, Marry! This music is amazing; not only it calms me down, but it inspires me too. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Thanks for putting the link up for Ludovico Einaudi’s elegy. It was part of a good start to a Sunday morning, melancholy, but a good start.
Celebrating every step of the way– thanks for the monthly reminder!!
Anna, I love focusing on the good stuff and clearing the mind of the clutter. I learned much from you this month, particularly about staying in the moment. Releasing stress and anxiety by being in the here and now.
I am listening to the piano as I type this. It’s so funny, a piano is a piano is a piano, right? But this music is calming, balming and life giving all at the same time! I love the artic behind him and the nature sounds of the water and birds. Love it!
Ooooh Nikki, I love music, and especially piano music. I actually studied piano for 8 years. Thank you for reminding me – I should go back to listening piano music. I’m so glad you like my post! 🙂
