It seems like yesterday we were celebrating Christmas and now January is almost gone. I am sure that 2016 is going to be full of wonderful changes because I choose to envision it this way and because I like to anticipate and visualize all the beautiful days to come.
But today, I’m very excited to share with you the highlights of my week – some of the things that inspired me and made me celebrate.
This birthday cake for my son’s birthday. I was so happy that my son was able to come home for his birthday and that he got to spend some time with his grandparents! My mother made this birthday cake for him.
I don’t really eat heavy, buttery cakes, but this one is light and healthy. It only requires yogurt, fruits and lady fingers. No baking, no butter, no guilt. Recipe coming soon.
Lately I’ve been binge watching this guy’s videos on YouTube. Even though he comes from humble beginnings, he now runs several successful businesses. Alex Ikonn co-founded Five Minute Journal, Luxy Hair, and Productivity Planner. He is down to earth and always ready to share his experience. His story is inspiring and deeply motivating. Here’s a great 10 minute video:
These Kebabs were not only good looking, but the perfect combination of meat (seasoned chicken) and vegetables – mushrooms, zucchini, red pepper, onion, and tomatoes. They were easy to make, fast to cook and full of great flavor – my son’s favorites.
This book – The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari – a beautiful story full of wisdom about reaching your dreams and fully living your life.
“It is only when you have mastered the art of loving yourself that you can truly love others, it’s only when you have opened your own heart that you can touch the hearts of others, when you feel centered and alive, you are in much better position to be a better person.”
Simple, yet profound.
This Naan bread discovered at our local Costco. I just love it – for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is so good I eat it plain, warm, cold, grilled or smothered with olive oil and garlic. Delish!
I hope you find something that inspires you to keep growing and creating.
