A couple of weeks ago, on a Saturday, my hubby, my son and I spent a beautiful day in Paradise. We’ve been living here for ten years now and we had no idea we had such a nice place so close to us. We were able to explore not only the beauty of the heaven called Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Miami, but also Dale Chihuly’s largest and most comprehensive exhibition.
I’ve heard about Chihuly for the first time several years ago, and I wanted to see his work, so this had been on my to-do list for years. His glass sculptures are simply spectacular and their setup in the botanical garden is magnificent. The garden itself is beautiful even without Chihuly’s work and I am sure I will repeat this experience soon. It is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day and take in the beauty of the nature; the perfect place to walk, admire and dream, and also be happy and grateful for the beauty that surrounds us and we very often overlook. But what I loved more than anything else was the feeling I had being in the perfect place with the people I love most – my son and my hubby.
