H. Jackson Brown, Jr. said in his “21 Suggestions for Success”: “Marry the right person. This one decision will determine 90% of your happiness or misery”.
It’s Thursday again and I find myself in front of the computer trying to think about something I am grateful for. And I realize that I am grateful for my hubby who works hard and long hours, so I can have a part-time job that allows me to have this blog, enjoy my afternoons at home, and celebrate sunshine everyday.
He is a natural nurturer, he is soft and tender and he likes to take care of me.
I couldn’t have found a better father for our son – they are best buddies.
Every time I cut his hair, he still believes it’s perfect. 🙂
He always puts gas in my car.
He comes with me when I go shopping for myself.
He loves my parents and he takes care of them.
He gives me foot massages.
He is funny and he makes me laugh.
He calls me on his way home from work to check if I need him to buy something.
He always takes out the garbage.
He encourages me to do what I like to do.
He is trustworthy.
He takes care of the backyard.
He prepares the best mimosa for our brunch on weekends.
He gives me the better (juicier, nicer, bigger, tenderer, thicker, medium-rarer) piece of food and says: “That’s how you know when someone loves you; he gives you the better piece of food”. (He adapted this from a movie scene – “Curly Sue.”)
He still opens the door for me.
For the past nine years, he has been driving home at noon every day to have lunch at home together.
He likes to sleep on my pillow.
He believes in God.
For all of these and for many more I can’t write about, I am so, so, so grateful.
Love you, M.
